As a young boy I used to play with Michael at my parent's house at 141, at Pen and Lorna's house at 91 and at the recreation ground/tennis courts next door. It was only later that I realised that our friendship was because Pen had been my dad's, (John), best man at his wedding to my mum, Patricia. I will find one of the group photographs and post it on here.

Mum and dad moved to Shropshire in the late 80's and Pen and Lorna visited them a number of times and I think they also joined them on at least one holiday in North Wales.

I lived in Cheshire after university for some time and now live in Cheshire but would occasionally detour through Southgate when journeying nearby and call in to see Pen for a catchup, usually unannounced but I was always made very welcome. I will miss the opportunity to do that again.
